The company Muybici offers a sustainable mobility service in Murcia, through the management of bicycle rentals in urban areas.
In the initial phase, the company provided some 400 bicycles throughout the city. The design of the peripherals of the service, bicycles and stations, were inspired by a model implemented in cities all over Europe, but, in a very initial phase, many acts of vandalism began to occur that had a negative impact on the quality of the service, causing a media impact that had repercussions on the company and the municipal administration.
Faced with this situation, Grupo Idea decided to offer its services to Muybici to create a resolution plan to deal with these incidents. With this objective, we conducted an analysis of the problem to derive a resolution that would go as little as possible out of the experience of use already created by the company.
